Prince of the City, Vampire Julian Luna |
BASIC SYNOPSIS
In "Kindred: the Embraced," a clan of vampires living in San Francisco (USA) begin to assimilate into everyday human life and masquerade as humans to avoid eliciting a war with fearful mortals. That's when Human Police Detective Frank Kohanek (C. Thomas Howell) mistakes the vampire clan leader for a powerful human mobsters. He begins investigating Julian Luna (Mark Frankel) and what he learns makes him feel very uneasy.
Not only is Julian is a powerful vampire, but the detective also learns the city is genuinely infested with the un-dead: vampires, werewolves, and extremely naive teenagers.
Fortunately, Julian rules over five vampire clans, collectively called "The Kindred," with poise, prestige, and power. For the most part, the vampires respect his laws, so order is maintained in the city. Because of this, the cop and vampire begin to collaborate in order to prevent any municipal disasters.
Enter Reporter Caitlin Byrne (Kelly Rutherford), who is very similar to Lois Lane of Superman fame in the manner that Caitlin seems just as clueless about Julian being a vampire as Lois was about Clark Kent being Superman.
