Here's a super creepy distraction (to get our thoughts off Covid-19). A prevailing tale claims that this vintage child's toy is some sort of a handmade Voodoo doll, made by an abused slave.

Meet Robert the Haunted Doll (on display as a permanent museum fixture at Fort East Martello in Florida). Even while inside this display case, Robert is documented by museum staff to repeatedly change physical positions. The spooky doll is blamed for deaths and "a veritable bounty of woe" . . .

Yet it wasn't always that way. For a time, this doll was the very best friend of a little boy who needed a friend!
