Gothic Victorian Vampires in The Darkness of Love
Dark Romance Author Catherine Green |
Hello there my fellow vampire lovers and thank you, Tami Jackson, for hosting me over here on the Vampire Review. Today I would like to introduce my fourth novel, The Darkness of Love. It is a Gothic Victorian vampire romance full of decadent passion and deadly games. In other words, it's a perfect holiday read for the festive season!
Our story is set in Victorian England, in the grand estate of Lord Gregory Stockton. Marcus Scott is a lowly stable hand, born and raised on the estate by his parents who also work for Lord Stockton. Marcus is sharp and intelligent, and he is battling a serious case of forbidden lust for Lady Sarah Stockton.
The two young lovers begin a dangerous game, totally unaware that their lord and master not only knows about their illicit affair, but that he is a powerful vampire determined to use their emotions to his advantage. Marcus is a changed man by the end of his adventure, and it marks the start of a whole new immortal life, forever tied to his master.
Sounds hot doesn’t it? Well, Marcus Scott is very persuasive when he wants to be, and Lord Gregory Stockton is pretty hard to resist as well.
Then we meet his old friend Lady Amelia Richmond and the whole story becomes even more twisted and dangerous.
The Darkness of Love is a delicious foray into the era when England was undergoing huge social change, where people hid more secrets than anybody could begin to guess at, and where vampires could play and satiate their thirst wherever and whenever they chose.
